(More customer reviews)An outstanding show from Senegal's ambassador of mbalax. A friend from Senegal gave me this DVD for my birthday. It took me a while to finally watch it because I wasn't all that excited about watching a concert performance on my little laptop. Now I wish I hadn't waited. In addition to Youssou N'Dour's mellifluous and soulful singing, there are dancers who tear up the stage as well as terrific back-up singers and a song with Rokia Traore, a fantastic singer from Mali (I really like her album "Bowmboï"). And always the sabar-inspired mbalax groove driving the grooves, as well as talking drum and an occasional djembe lick.
