(More customer reviews)Regardless of the mistaken date above, this is a great dvd from Iggy's "Brick By Brick" tour back in 1991. It is the same video as the "Kiss My Blood" dvd which is nearly impossible to find. I own both releases; and the sound and video on "Iggy In Paris" are just a little weaker than "Kiss My Blood". However, the difference is minimal & it does not justify spending big dollars on "Kiss My Blood" (and that's if you can even find it). Included below is my review of the "Kiss My Blood" dvd. If you are an Iggy Pop fan, jump at this dvd while you can. You can even save a few bucks on zShops, definitely the way to go. I guarantee Mr. Pop will not disappoint.
Until the arrival of "Avenue B", "Kiss My Blood" was arguably the best Iggy Pop related video document in my collection. Recorded during the "Brick By Brick" tour, this show features one of Iggy's best bands in recent memory. Primarily because of the killer lead guitar of Whitey Kurst. Whitey rips through ever lead from Ron Asheton's to Williamson's effortlessly. This is a great ProShot show with 10 out of 10 soundboard quality audio. If you are an Iggy Pop fan you owe yourself this dvd and I gurantee you will not be disappointed. But....until you can find it, definitely drop some cash on the new "Live At The Avenue B". You can pick it up for around 10 bucks on zShops. "Avenue B" has a slight edge "video" wise over "Kiss My Blood" (due to technology); but from a performance standpoint, the two are dead even. Long live Mr. Pop.
