(More customer reviews)Several years ago, I had the pleasure of seeing one of my childhood heroes in concert "in the round" and it was the thrill of a lifetime! For those of you who have not seen David perform live, here is your chance to experience him live, immortalized on DVD which is almost as great! Performed earlier in the year at his sold out concert at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, this is one great performance by this die-hard former 70s teen heart throb! The music is beautiful and well, maybe the background singers aren't the Partridges, but there are several chart topping Partridge tunes here to keep the Partridge fanatics happy. Of the Patridge tomes, David performs I Can Feel Your Heartbeat, Echo Valley 2-6809, Summer Days, I Think I Love You, (regular and acoustic!)I'll Meet You Halfway,I Woke Up In Love This Morning and Breaking up Is Hard To Do......BUT he also performs his own chart toppers: I am A Clown, I Write The Songs (yes, Cassidy recorded it BEFORE Manilow!), Could It Be Forever, Ricky"s Tune, Common Thief, Rock Me Baby, Cherish, Last Kiss and How Can I Be Sure, not to mention covers of Beatles tunes such as No Reply, You've Got To Hide Your Love Away, McCartney's Blackbird and the Stone's Gimme Shelter! A well rounded hits show with David totally enjoying the audience and hamming it up! The music is great even though Cassidy's voice has grown even raspier, the tunes are fun and the excitement is still there! Great picture quality and sound (Dolby 2.0) and picture is 16:9 Animorphic. Also included is a new interview with David called Being David Cassidy. Excellent gift purchase for the Cassidy or Partridge fan in your life! A 70s collector MUST HAVE!!!
