(More customer reviews)This is certainly one of the best specials ever produced about the talented stars of Lawrence Welk's weekly musical dance-fest. Although the program is hosted by (and tells the story of) the lovely Lennon Sisters, it also offers a marvelous portrait of the singers and musicians who performed in the earlier years of the show -- Alice Lon, Big Tiny Little, Pete Fountain, Rocky Rockwell and many others. There are plentiful clips of these stars at their best, all tied together with present-day (well, early 90's) footage of the Lennons reminiscing about their days when they were part of Lawrence's musical family. A must-have for any Welk show fan!
