This is a touching documentary of a Gay Man in the Republic of China. The film inter-cuts scenes of the main character's drag performances, with interviews. The film is subtitled in poor English and Korean; I haven't the slightest idea of the quality of the Korean subtitles. Nevertheless, it is worth putting up with the poor English because the story is unique.
This documentary gives a very good idea of one man's life as a Gay man in the Peoples Republic of China. The protagonist gives an honest view of his life; however, there is _no_ mention whatsoever of any government repression of Gays. This is a glaring absence throughout; although, it is highly probable that any criticism of the PRC government would have prevented this film from ever seeing the light of day.
It is a bit long in the present cut, but I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is interested in the life of Gay Men in the PRC today.
