(More customer reviews)I've owned this video since it came out in 1993 and recently bought the DVD only because I've worn my VHS out - this video is truly a treasure to have! Cline's widower, Charlie Dick, and their children, Julie and Randy, have done an exceptional job putting this together - classy and heartfelt. It features Michele Wright reading Cline's personal letters to friends and fans, which somewhat narrates her life along with the interviews of friends, family and music legends. There are PRICELESS home videos, onstage/television performances(never before seen, including one of Cline singing "I Fall to Pieces" within a week of her death & THE Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts performance of "Walking After Midnight", her big break!), pictures that many fans haven't seen before and stories from family and friends that show a side to Patsy that some have never heard of - and some of them are HILARIOUS (especially Jan Howard's story of how she and Patsy met.) There are also a few interviews with current music stars, like Trisha Yearwood & K.D. Lang, who tell of her influence on their music and careers. Throughout the film, Patsy's music is played. Unlike the first video "The Real Patsy Cline", that Cline's family produced in the late 1980's, this film doesn't really focus on the plane crash, but more on her career. However, for other interviews with music stars (some deceased - Dottie West & Carl Perkins), as well as other performances & pictures not seen on this video allow me to recommend that DVD ("The Real Patsy Cline"). They're both worth having! You'll realize why she is the most hearlded female musician of the 20th Century! This is a must have for any Patsy Cline fan!
