(More customer reviews)John de Lancie turns in yet another intriguing performance as Q, sending Picard (Patrick Stewart) and the crew of the USS Enterprise on their first fateful encounter with the Borg. Clearly this is one of the most fascinating episodes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" ever written, revealing the Borg in an utterly alien, yet credible, light. It certainly ranks as among the most suspenseful hours of "Star Trek: The Next Generation". It's a pity most of the other episodes on the Borg weren't as well written as the first.
