(More customer reviews)For the life of me I cannot imagine why this title is not available as a SOUNDTRACK or at least issued in DVD format. It IS a compilation of knock-me-down-and-lift-me-up performances by some of the greatest voices in our country.
You do not have to be a Christian to be moved to tears by these performances...the sheer beauty of those VOICES! The could be singing "lalalalalala" and it would STILL be some of the very best singing I will ever hear in my life.
**The performance of "Change is Gonna Come" by Luther Vandross in this Session is not only beautiful to see (Oh, is he looking BEAUTIFUL), but his voice has a resonance and soaring beauty that is UNMATCHED IN ANY OTHER SONG recording of his that I have in my considerable collection of Vandross.
Never mind the knockout performances of Jennifer Holliday, Edwin Hawkins, Andre Crouch, THE CHOIR! I could go on forever about how much I love this music. If ANYONE HAS ANY IDEA how one goes about lobbying the owner of this Master tape/recording to release this as a soundtrack or at least DVD, let me know somehow!
