(More customer reviews)I've been a Lucinda Williams fan since the mid 1980's - I taped this show when it first aired on Austin City Limits in 1989 (it was aired with an outstanding Guy Clark performance, which is already on DVD - buy it! http://www.amazon.com/Live-Austin-TX-Guy-Clark/dp/B000LC5B3S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1223250297&sr=1-1). Lucinda's performance is a fantastic show with her original band that included Gurf Morlix, John Ciambotti and Donald Lindley. The original ACL show was only 25 minutes. The new DVD is listed at 74 minutes. Based on the original show, I can, with all sincerity, highly recommend this DVD to any Lucinda fan. If I could have only one of Lucinda's performances on DVD, this would be it. Whatever you love about Lucinda Williams and her music today, you will see it during this 1989 performance - a wonderful and original singer-songwriter who has remained an original artist. Gurf Morlix's guitar playing is first rate! I enjoyed the days when I saw Lucinda in the small clubs - this DVD captures a wonderful performance from that time - a must for any Lucinda fan.
