(More customer reviews)Though not the standard Star Trek fare, this episode allows personal glimpses into the life of the very quiet and reserved Captain of the Enterprise. Picard lets down his guard, letting the lovely and talented Commander Darren get close. He learns a great deal about himself in many ways, and finds himself faced with some very difficult decisions. There are also references to his earlier experience with a probe through which he lived another lifetime - a very emotional and personal time for him. The music they play throughout, including music from that other lifetime, highlight this insightful and introspective episode.
