(More customer reviews)I have to offer a caveat to any mother's-to-be about this truly scary movie and that is do not watch it unless you are extremely confident in your Gyno-obstetrician! Rod Steiger stars as a seemingly helpful and warm country obstetrician who sells his next door house to a young couple at a less than market value price. Slowly but surely he creeps into their lives and all seems well until he discovers that the wife{Linda Kozlowski} is pregnant and then the suspense begins. The kindly Dr. has a dark and sinister past that we do not fully know about until near the end of the movie when it is almost too late to save the young couple from a murder frame up for the husband and a loss of the baby for his wife. Steiger is never over the top as the truly frightening and creepy neighbor who secretely stalks them, enters their house and lives, and seemingly has an innocent alibi for all of it. If you can find this movie by all means buy it because it will make a terrific addition to any home movie collection.
