This is not the Johnny Thunders documentary ''Born to Lose: The Last Rock N Roll Movie'' This is another punk rock doc. Do not get confused. The Thunders film is very hard to get. Your lucky if you get a 3rd generation copy of it for $100.

Born to Lose is a feature film that takes a realistic look into the periphery of the Los Angeres punk rock music scene, exploring the life of the underground band "The Spoilers," and lead singer Stevie Monroe's odyssey of nihilism. When Steve (Joseph Rye) meets an equally destructive girl (Elyse Ashton) while shopping his demo tape around, the tow instantly form a bond. Although innocent at first, the two delve deeply into a downward spiral of drugs and destruction. As The Spoilers begin to grow in local popularity, everything around Stevie begins to fall apart at the seams. With a keen insight into the gritty gutters of punk rock, filmmaker Doug Cawker has crafted a unique and realistic glimpse into not only the music scene, but the mind of a sociopathic dreamer, hell-bent on his own demise - with no regard to whom he may take down with him.
